Just back from he weekend trip, Cape Town was the start and Cape Town the end and 1180Km inbetween. Drove up the N1 to Prince Albert. Lunch at Cafe Albert.

Good food and lovely place, they have some crazy combination sandwiches, Peanut Butter, egg and crispy bacon on toasted white.(Thanks TrevM) Wasn't sure if I liked it so I had another one, and to be absolutely certain, the next day I had one as well. Definate different taste but delicious non the less.

Then when the lunch was finished, went on further to Meiring's Poort, the whole reson for the Journey. Spend 3 hours in the pool at the waterfall. Was a lot of fun, Jumping off the cliffs into the water, Even My 7 year was doing it, loads of fun.

Then onwards via de rust and Oudtshoorn and then the steep climg up the Swartberg Pass. I think the reson there are very few pics of the pass are because...... well go drive it and you will know, it's Hectic. First gear in places.. a lot of places. Had to do a refuel in the pass, which was cool.

The Hel was not an option in a plat kar, and it was already getting towards 20:00, and we were advised not to drive the pass in the dark....

We did however setup camp at Prince Albert in the dark.... True IOC Fashion.

Next day(Sunday) was breakfast at Cafe Albert(Once again, superb food, hit the spot) and then for a few more hours at Meiring's Poort Pool. Was a bit colder with the rain, but great.

Then Oudtshoorn and Mossel Bay. Stopped at Lofty's house and had a good visit( Heard all about the Affrimative Shopping) and then went round to Wiel and also had a lekker kuier. Thanks guys, then into Mossel Bay and slept in a "sports school" koshuis....

Monday morning off to Cape Town, stopped in Grabouw for some emergency fuel(just for fun) and then home.

Total distance travelled 1180, total fuel used 135 litres..... blah blah blah blah. That was censored by the large Mutinational Fuel Companies.

Smile
Hy behoord Vrydag as ek by die huis kom klaar te wees. My olie kos egter nie so goedkoop soos joune nie.

Sal hom vra as ek by die huis is.

So ek reken dis heeltemal 'n goeie prys.
